About Amicable Agreements

Cyndi Vehrencamp holds a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and a graduate certificate in Collaborative Governance. She is a current member of the Oregon Mediation Association (OMA) and Association of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), and follows their ethical guidelines.

While she mainly focuses on family law, landlord-tenant, and small claims cases, Cyndi also created a political dialogue project which received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants. It was awarded a Peacebuilding Grant from the Beaverton Center for Mediation and Dialogue and honorariums from the George Fox Civility Project. She presented this project at the Oregon Mediation Association’s annual conference in 2023.

Cyndi is committed to ongoing learning and regularly attends trainings in ethics and mediation techniques (facilitative, transformative, and narrative styles), ensuring she stays current with best practices and has a broad toolkit with which to help her clients achieve their goals.

Cyndi’s style does not involve giving advice or evaluating her clients’ legal positions. Instead, she uses her skills to help clients bring their best selves to mediation and find their own way forward with more clarity, confidence, and alignment with their personal values and goals. This involves asking thoughtful questions, providing a space for clients to be fully heard and better understood, and helping them navigate the integration of their needs into a joint plan.

Cyndi enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and feels very fortunate to have found this career in mediation that deeply aligns with her values of dignity, curiosity, agency, and trust-building. She is available to provide comprehensive and flexible conflict resolution services to individuals, families, and organizations.
